Do I really need a title? (Notice the ancient microwave? That was the first one my parents ever purchased. I remember the whole shopping experience. Sears actually had a sales expert just for microwaves. The catalyst: my mother went back to work. I recently gave it away, and it is now housed in my husband's classroom where it gets properly ridiculed by the Tech Savvy Generation.)

They just don't make microwaves like they use to. =) They don't last that long now days.
Love the pic! And my parents got rid of their original microwave a year or two ago, they had had it for probably 25 years. It even survived my trying to pop popcorn in it in a regular brown bag, which caught fire.
OH Heather, I'm laughing out loud!
I think we bought that EXACT microwave when we first got married. Larry made a "thermostat graph" of the money we got for our wedding, and we went to Sears and bought THAT microwave. We had it for at least 10 years, and only got rid of it because we wanted something smaller.
Oh how cute!
Do you remember microwaves with knobs? No joke... they were huge, too, like those first super-computers. I wonder where they go when they die...
Popped over here from Raising Trinity and had to comment! Love this pic, microwave and all:) Classic!
The mustache is great!
I bought a brand new microwave a couple years ago, and it only lasted a couple years! Nothing compared to how long the "original" ones have lasted. Crazy!
Oh and I love the pic! What a cute kid. :D
Glad to hear we all have a story surrounding a microwave. I wonder who invented them?
It was also good to hear all your comments! Keep them coming.
More posts to come...usually I do one on Mon, Wed, and Fri, but I had a crazy weekend and a crazy coming week....so it might have to wait until Tues.
