Bug has two friends who live in our apartment complex and they marvel that I have no problem with him getting dirty. I gather from what they have told me and what I have seen their parents care a great deal whether they have clean clothes on. I on the other hand tell my kids I know how to use soap and water and not to worry about it. Besides, how does one enjoy blackberries without getting the shirt messy? My children don't know any other way and frankly neither do I.
Good for you! Yes, the shirt was ruined and now makes an excellent rag for dusty, but look at that joy! I wouldn't do it any differently. Yesterday the boys made a mud pit in the backyard....
